What is the cost of Membership?
Our current membership fee is $25.00 per person and gives you access to all that the Centre offers from September through June. Members only, allows you access to all social events, as well as the ability to join any of the groups within the Centre.
Are there requirements to join?
No experience necessary! Whether you are a beginner or a pool shark, a pro baker or never cracked an egg, you are welcome to join any group you are interested in. We have members with all skill levels and those that have more experience are eager to assist. Our groups are designed for Seniors to build connections, improve physical wellness, sharpen memory skills and belong to a vibrant community of liked minded people.
Community Minded?
Walden Seniors Centre believes in community within our club and in Walden & surrounding area. Our Ladies Auxiliary raises funds, collects donations, organizing food drives for an array of organizations. From the Salvation Army, to Maison McCullough Hospice the ladies are constantly finding creative ways to give back.
Other members volunteer their time with a youth program that is run within our facility. Twice a week they provide companionship and a hot meal to the youth after school program.
Our Seniors also volunteer their time and talents to our local winter carnival, Rock the Farm, the local food bank & our hospital foundation.
We believe that supporting a shared cause means becoming part of a team, and often a wider community. When we work together, we build close relationships and feel more connected.
